Katana is seeking a talented Digital Media Coordinator to join the elite forces of Katana’s media team and build a solid foundation for their career.  As a Media Coordinator, you will support Media Managers, Media Supervisors and the Associate Media Director as needed with client reporting, deliverables, research, optimizations and various other items needed to support client work. We’re looking for self-driven, motivated people who are eager to continuously learn, willing to go the extra mile and work hard in an exciting, ever-changing field.  Successful candidates will possess exceptional attention to detail, as well as a love of storytelling through data.  

Desired Skills + Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 1 – 2 years’ professional work experience in data analysis, analytics, media, marketing and/or communications
  • Demonstrated high proficiency in MS-Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, including excellent writing and proofreading skills
  • Strong mathematical knowledge
  • Proficiency in use of databases, particularly in data entry, data extraction, report creation and/or customization preferred
  • Ability to gain intimacy and command over large sets of data
  • Highly accurate with precise attention to detail
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • SQL experience is a plus, but not required

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist the team in working with various lead generation and ecommerce clients to drive top line sales growth across paid media efforts
  • Competitive research with the ability to be resourceful while gathering information to support media plans
  • Keyword research and audience targeting discovery
  • Develop ad copy for client campaigns
  • Traffic creative and support in paid search, display, social media, radio, retargeting, etc., campaign builds under the direction of the Media Managers/Associate Media Director
  • Manipulate large data sets to create detailed reporting to be utilized in client facing presentations, monthly updates and internal optimizations
  • Analyze reports for outliers, key insights and optimization opportunities
This position is non­exempt and is paid hourly, according to the laws of the State of California. Katana is an Equal Opportunity employer.
